Avial

Avial is a Malabar Cuisine made with a mixture of vegetables with coconut and curds.

Ingredients

Raw banana      1
Drumstik           1
Ash gourd          100 gms
Custer beans      100 gms
Snake gourd       100 gms
Yam                    100 gms
Cumin seeds      2 tsps
Grated coconut  3 tbs
Green chillies    4
Curry leaves      few
Salt to taste

Preparation

Cut all vegetables evenly. Boil them in a vessel adding enough water, salt and boil the vegetables till they are cooked.Grind the grated coconut adding cumin seeds and the green chillies and make coarse paste and add it to the already cooked vegetables along with whipped curds. Stir gently and season
with coconut oil and curry leaves.you can also temper with mustard seeds.Now the Avial is ready.
