Adai Dosa

Ingredients

 Thuvar dhal    1cup
Channa dhal     1/2 cup
Urad dhal         1/4 cup
Moong dhal      1/2 cup
Raw rice            1/4 cup
Green chillies    6-8
Red chillies       3
Ginger               1 inch
Jeera                  2tsps
Oil
Salt to taste

Preparation

Wash and soak all the grams (lentils) and the rice overnight or say about 5 hrs.Drain the water and grind it in a mixer or grinder to a coarse paste adding the chillies,ginger ,jeera and salt by adding water little by little.Let it ferment for some time.It should be thicker than the dosa batter.Whisk the batter.
Take tawa or a griddle and pour the batter using a laddle spread it in a circular motion like how you do for Dosa and drizzle oil on it and flip and cook on the other side and serve hot with coconut chutney Some like to eat it with butter, ghee or  powdered jaggery.

Variation

You can prepare Adai using finely chopped onions by mixing it to the batter.
