Poha medium or thin 2 cups
Oil 3tbs
Mustard seeds 1tsps
Urad dhal 2tsps
Channa dhal 2tps
Green chillis chopped 5 or 6
Turmeric 1/2 tsp
Red chillies 2
Asafoetida 1 pinch
Salt to taste
Currry leaves
Coriander finely chopped
Large onion chopped (optional)
Preparation
- Clean and wash the Poha in water. Drain the water and keep aside.
- Meanwhile, take a pan and add 2-3 tbsp of oil.
- Fry the Onion and add mustard seeds, urad dhal, channa dhal, curry leaves ,chopped green chillies and red chillies.
- After a few minutes, add turmeric , a pinch of asafoetida and salt to taste
- Then, add the drained Poha with the above mixture and stir for 2 minutes.
- Cover and cook on a low flame.
- After 5 minutes , the dish is ready to serve.
- You can garnish with fresh coconut gratings in place of onoin.
