Onion Pakodas

It is eaten as an evevning Snack.

Ingredients

Gram flour                 1 cup
Rice flour                   1 cup
Cooking soda             1/4 tsp
Onions large               2 chopped into thin strips
Green chillies             4 finely chopped
Garlic crushed            3 pods
Ginger crushed          1"
Cumin seeds              1 tsp
Saunf                          1/4 tsp
Chilli powder             1/2 tsp
Curry leaves               few finely cut
Coriander                    few finely cut
Oil for deep frying
Salt to taste

Preparation

Mix together all the ingredients except oil in a bowl and mix well with hands.Heat 3 tsp of oil in a kadai and when hot  pour it on the besan mixture and mix it evenly. Now divide the mixture into 4 or 5 portions.Take one portion into a bowl and sprinkle very little water and again mix it with your hands. Use just enough water so that it does not become soggy.Take some mixture and press it with your hands and drop it in the hot oil.Fry till they are golden brown and drain it on a paper towel.Continue to fry till the rest of the mixture is done.Now the Pakodas are ready. Serve hot with Coffe or Tea.
