Punjabi Kadhi

Ingredients
Gram flour            1cup
Chopped onions    1/4 cup
Chopped potato     1/2 cup
Ajwain                    1 tsp
Chiili powder         1 tsp
Chopped ginger      1 tsp
Baking soda            1/4  tsp
Oil for deep fry.
Salt to taste
These are needed for frying Pakodas.
Kadhi or curds           2 cups
Gram flour               1/4 cup
Dry red chillies        2
Turmeric powder      1/2 tsp
Asafoetida                 1/4 tsp
Fengreek(methi)        1 tsp
Oil                              1 tbs
Salt as per taste

Preparation

Add the vegetable and gram flour mixture and with other ingredients adding water  and saltto make a thick batter.Make small balls and deep fry them in oil. Fry till they turn golden yellow.
Beat curds and mix gram flour in it.Blend thouroughly so as to ensure that there are no lumps.Add turmeric powder,salt and 3 cups of water.Heat oil in a pan stir fry fenugreek seeds,dry chilli and add the gram flour and the beaten curd mixture bring it to boil and cook on a slow flame for 5 mins and  the fried pakodas into the kadhi and simmer for 5 mins.Now the Punjabi Kadhi is
ready. Serve hot Punjabi Kadhi with Steamig Rice.
