Ingredients
Rawa(semolina) 2 cups
Sour curds 1 cup
(yogurt)
Green chillies 3 or 4(optional)
Salt to taste
Mustard seeds 2 tsps
Curry leaves 10 to 12
Soda bicarb 1/2 tsp
Cashewnuts 50 gms
Oil for seasoning
Preparation
Mix curd and salt in rawa and make batter of idly consistency using little water.Cover it and leave it for 1 hour.Now heat oil in a pan fry cashewnuts, finely chopped green chillies,mustard seeds, and the currry leaves in it. Add 1/4 tsp of soda bicarb to the rawa mixture.Now grease the idlymould and pour the batter in it.Boil 2 glass of water in a pressure cooker and steam it. Do not put the weight.Steam it at high flame for 10 mins and then remove it from the flame.Open it take out the idlies and serve hot with coconut chutney and sambar.Even coriander and mint chutney will also go well with Rawa Idly.
