Chutney Pudi

Ingredients                                                                 

Urad dal         2 cups
Channa dal     1 cup
Red chillies    1/2 cup
Jeera               2 tsps
( use byadige to get good color)
Tamarind        1 marble size   
Grated copra   1 cup
(dessicated)
Ground nuts    1/2 cup
Jaggery            1 tsp
Thil                  2 tsps
Salt to taste  

For seasoning
Curry leaves    handful
Oil                  1 tbsp
Mustard          2 tsps

Preparation

Dry roast all the above ingredients (or roast with minimum oil) except the grated copra on a medium flame till they turn golden brown in color. Once it is fried let it cool completely. Dry  fry the grated copra. Add the powdered jaggery and salt.Using a Mixie grind them to a coarse powder. Heat oil in a pan temper with mustard seeds,curry leaves and hing and mix it with the powder.We can use this for Idly, Dosa and Hot Rice.
