Ingredients
Idly/Dosa batter 4 cups
Onion finely chooped 1
Green chilli finely chopped 4
Curry leaves & coriander few
(chopped finely)
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Oil for saute
Salt if required
Preparation
Heat oil in a kadai add mustard seeds.Let it cracle then add the chopped onion,green chillies, curry and coriander leaves.Saute all these ingredients for a few mins.Add this mixture to the idly/dosa batter and mix well.Heat the kuzhi paniyaram chatty and put little oil in each hole and pour the batter and cook on a slow flame.Turn over cook them on both sides.Kara Kuzhi Paniyaram is ready to serve.
Variation
The batter for Kuzhi Paniyaram can made by soaking equal portion of raw rice with urad dal for 2-3 hrs.Grind them to the consistency of idly or dosa batter.The rest of the preparation is the same.
