Pal Paniyaram

Ingredients

Raw rice                        1 cup   
Urad dal                        1 cup
Coconut                        1
(canned coconut milk)
Sugar                             3 cups
Cardamom powder        1 tsp

Preparation

Soak the rice and dal for 3 hours.Drain well and grind together to smooth a paste.Extract coconut milk from the cocconut or buy the ready made canned coconut milk from the super market..Keep it aside. Add sugar and the cardamom powder to the coconut milk and and mix well.Take the batter with a round spoon to make small balls.Heat oil and drop  one spoon after another  into the oil and repeat the same till the batter is done and keep frying on a slow flame.Turn the other side and fry again.Add them to the coconut milk. Soak it for 1/2 an hour.Mix and serve the Pal Paniyaram.

Variation

The same batter can be prepared by soaking equal parts of urad dal and raw rice for 2-3 hours.Grind them to a smooth paste.And the rest of the procedures are the same.
