Sweet Appam

Ingredients

Raw rice                         1 cup
Jaggery                           3/4 cup
Copra                            few pieces
Cardamom powder        1 tsp

Preparation

Soak raw rice in water for 1-2 hours.Drain it well.Add very little water and grind to a smooth paste.After a little while add the jsggery and girnd again.Chop the copra into fine bits fry it in ghee
till golden brown.Add the fried coconut  bits and jaggery to the batter and mix well.The consistency of the batter should be that of dosa batter.Heat the Kuzipaniyaram pan and add little oil to all the portions of the pan.Drop the batter into the moulds and cook till it turns golden brown.Turn over and cook on the other side. You can pour the batter with a ladel in a pan of oil and fry in the same way.Now the Sweet Appam is ready.
