Sambar Podi / Huli Pudi

Ingredients

Coriander seeds         2 cups
Red chillies                1 cup
Channa dal                 2 tbs
Urad dal                     2 tsps
Cinnamon                  1 inch
Methi seeds                2 tbs
Grated copra              1/2 cup
(dessicated coconut)
Oil                              2 tbs

preparation

Grate the copra.Dry fry the copra and keep it aside.Heat the kadai with 1 tsp of oil roast the coriander seeds.In the same kadai with little oil fry the red chillies and remove the stalks from the chillies.Add all the other ingredients fry one by one SEPARATELY. Cool all the roasted ingredients.Then grind everything together except the fried copra in a mixie to a fairly coarse powder.Lastly add the fried copra and grind for a few secs.Store in air tight containers.
